The Wind Past Sails

The wind past sails, the sound of freedom
Tells show the path, the force of nature
Thrust forward, in search of shores
Known only to sun and sky

Dolphins ride on waves of men’s dreams
The albatross circles, strong yet gentle
The whales song, calling out through time
To friend or foe for peaceful passing

Sunrise the joy of nights ebbing grasp
The warmth of rays so far from home
So small are we, the dust of earth
Still we try through strength of will

We search for solace, peace and hope
behind us the faults of regret and sorrow
Ever onward, pushing past fear
Till nighttime falls, forever, that fateful year
