Most of my life I pursued all the trappings of a common American lifestyle replete with all the toys and items to make me seem in step with the neighbors. Forever updating and replacing with new all the worldly goods that makes you feel like you’re successful in life. But the reality of this lifestyle is in the moment when a twist is fate takes it all away in an instant, and your left standing there wondering how you will get it all back. That’s when you realize what really matters in this world and what a waste of time and resources all of it was. You can’t take it with you in the end.
